scenes from summer.

Summer. Can't believe it's already November (but so glad winter is finally here), no time better than now to do a summer recap right? We wanted to share five favorite photos each with you all here on the blog.

Swimming holes discovered with the boys while camping up in the Los Padres National Forest near Santa Barbara.

Probably the most beautiful pinecone I've ever seen in my life. We found it while hiking around the Angeles National Forest.

From the same day we found that pinecone pictured above. These plants are the dreamiest shade of green.

View from the plane window on a trip home to Colorado during the summer. Ready for this kind of view again in my life!

Hammocking in morning light after waking up camping up at the Little Jimmy Campground. Not a bad way to greet the day.

The view from the top. The drive home from camping at Lake Arrowhead is pretty great (at least during the mountain part, not once you're out of the mountains).

Little Jimmy camping sunset.

Making friends with a black seagull at Seal Beach. He was the best one.

Solstice Canyon mossy rocks & ferns.

Getting lost on the way to Little Jimmy. We won't make that mistake again.
